Village in the City
“Successful cities are comprised of villages, with people creating communities to make sense of living in bigger urban areas”
Subtitled “Village in the City”, my ongoing project highlights the people and environment of Pearse House Flats in Dublin. This public housing complex, nestled behind Trinity College was built in the 1930’s by Herbert Simms in response to the housing crisis at the time. Pearse House is still home to many families who can trace their origins back to the site for many generations.
